At Splish Splosh, the fun and friendly teachers, teach in the pool! We believe passionately that the lessons are more effective as a result, here is what one teacher has to say:

 

 

I like swimming teaching because it is both challenging and rewarding.  It is challenging because it encompasses a wide range of skills & abilities; it's not just about swimming teaching; it also involves child development, people skills, physical fitness and also a little bit of practical psychology.  It’s rewarding because its fun and you get to see the progress that the kids (and adults!!) make and the sense of pride and achievement that they get from this. I particularly like the Splish Splosh approach as the focus is very definitely on the kids and the quality of the swimming - and I don’t have to work in an office!!

 

Small groups - a maximum of 8 children in a class! This proves to be more effective in ensuring that more progress is achieved with the pupils.  It also gives a sense of comfort to the nervous ones who might be taking to the water for the first time!  Whilst working in the water the teachers can communicate directly with the children and can demonstrate easily the practices that need to be mastered.

 

No fuss cancellation policy - if you cant make two of your lessons in your course of 10, then simply inform the office 24hrs before and you can carry this lesson over.  We understand that the little ones have social lives (sometimes busier than their parents!!) and also that they can fall ill, with this policy it allows you to take those lessons at another convenient time! Ensuring no-one loses out on their swimming!
